SCOPE™ grows directly out of Dr. Bryant’s doctoral research on how schools can be of service to our democracy and out of the developmental literature on how social and cognitive capacities actually grow.
From the model of our school day, to calendars, AI policies, SCOPE™, and The Studios - we are documenting and researching how we can use cognitive and developmental research to improve life outcomes for as many children as possible.
The framework, the rubrics, and what we learn from using them will be published in practitioner-accessible form - for use in any policy or school, public or private, that wants them.
Schools everywhere say they develop the whole child. We are doing the harder thing: building the instrument that shows whether it’s true and showing you.
